Integrated transcriptome analysis identifies APPL1/RPS6KB2/GALK1 as immune-related metastasis factors in breast cancer

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2023
The aim of this study is to investigate the prognostic immune-related factors in breast cancer (BC) metastasis. The gene expression chip GSE159956 was downloaded from the gene expression omnibus database.

A novel 10-gene immune-related lncRNA signature model for the prognosis of colorectal cancer

open access: yesMathematical Biosciences and Engineering, 2021
Background: The tumor immune microenvironment of colorectal cancer (CRC) affects tumor development, prognosis and immunotherapy strategies. Recently, immune-related lncRNA were shown to play vital roles in the tumor immune microenvironment.

Molecular analysis of TCGA breast cancer histologic types

open access: yesCell Genomics, 2021
Breast cancer is classified into multiple distinct histologic types, and many of the rarer types have limited characterization. Here, we extend The Cancer Genome Atlas Breast Cancer (TCGA-BRCA) dataset with additional histologic type annotations in a total of 1,063 breast cancers.

The G Protein-Coupled Estrogen Receptor (GPER) Expression Correlates with Pro-Metastatic Pathways in ER-Negative Breast Cancer: A Bioinformatics Analysis

open access: yesCells, 2020
The G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER, formerly known as GPR30) is a seven-transmembrane receptor that mediates estrogen signals in both normal and malignant cells.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Gene signature to predict prognostic survival of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2022
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a high incidence and poor prognosis and is the second most fatal cancer, and certain HCC patients also show high heterogeneity. This study developed a prognostic model for predicting clinical outcomes of HCC.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Prognostic Model Associated with Necroptosis in Colorectal Cancer based on Transcriptomic Analysis and Experimental Validation

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioscience-Landmark
Purpose: Numerous studies have emphasised the importance of necroptosis in the malignant progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, whether necroptosis-related genes (NRGs) can be used to predict the prognosis of CRC remains to be revealed. Methods:
