Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

The Transmission Disequilibrium/Heterogeneity Test with Parental-Genotype Reconstruction for Refined Genetic Mapping of Complex Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2012
In linkage analysis for mapping genetic diseases, the transmission/disequilibrium test (TDT) uses the linkage disequilibrium (LD) between some marker and trait loci for precise genetic mapping while avoiding confounding due to population stratification ...

Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TdT) Inhibiti on of Cord Blood Derived B and T Cells Expansion [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2017
Purpose: Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase(TdT) is a DNA polymerase that is present in immature pre-B and pre-T cells. TdT inserts N-nucleotides to the V (D) J gene segment during rearrangements of genes, therefore, it plays a vital role in the ...

UbcH5a or UbcH6 directly binds to TdT and E3-independently ubiquitylates TdT in vitro.

open access: yes, 2012
(A) Ten E2 enzymes were subjected to SDS-PAGE and stained by CBB. (B) Binding between TdT and E2 enzymes in vitro. Ten purified recombinant His-E2 enzymes were incubated with GST- (lane 2), GST-TdT (lane 3) bound Glutathione Sepharose 4B.

RNA‐related functions of BRCA2 in transcription, replication, and genome stability

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in homologous recombination, BRCA2 regulates R‐loop homeostasis, DNA–RNA hybrid resolution, RNA polymerase II dynamics, and transcriptional activation. Disruption of any of these functions can contribute to genome instability, inflammatory signaling, and tumorigenesis. BRCA2 is a central tumor suppressor protein best known for its roles

Improvement in both severe obsessive–compulsive disorder and refractory tardive dystonia following electroconvulsive therapy: A case report

open access: yesPCN Reports, 2022
Background Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is often resistant to treatment and may be complicated by tardive dystonia (TDt) with the use of neuroleptics. Furthermore, patients with TDt often have an inadequate response to pharmacotherapy.

Teacher and student learning through a Teacher Design Team (TDT) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The change from teacher dominated to student controlled classrooms is not easy as teachers fear poorer learning. However, in context based education students need more autonomy.

UbcH5a and UbcH6 promote TdT ubiquitylation.

open access: yes, 2012
(A) UbcH5a enhances TdT ubiquitylation in 293 T cells. 293 T cells were transfected with plasmids encoding His-Ub (lanes 1, 3 to 5), Myc-TdT (lanes 2 to 5), and/or Flag-UbcH5a (lanes 1, 2, 4 and 5) in the indicated combinations.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
