Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Products Targeting Right Ventricular Dysfunction in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension: Toward Precision Cardiometabolic Therapy

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
Natural products and traditional Chinese medicine target metabolic pathways underlying right ventricular dysfunction in pulmonary arterial hypertension. Integrating multi‐omics, artificial intelligence, and systems biology may enable precision cardiometabolic therapies to restore right ventricular metabolism and improve clinical outcomes.

The Pathophysiological Changes and Clinical Effects of Tetramethylpyrazine in ICR Mice with Fluoride-Induced Hepatopathy

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
The excessive intake of fluoride, one of the trace elements required to maintain health, leads to liver injury. Tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine monomer with a good antioxidant and hepatoprotective function.

Microbiome‐mediated chemical communication in insects: Implications for pest management

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Microbiome–semiochemical interactions involve the following processes: direct microbial synthesis, host gene regulation, precursor biotransformation, microbiome modulation and indirect ecological signaling. Abstract Insects rely on semiochemicals to regulate aggregation, mating, foraging, and host selection. This review synthesizes evidence that insect‐

Bioactive Natural Products in Cardiovascular Disease: Focus on Thrombotic Events

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
An overview of the role of natural products (NP) in cardiovascular disease prevention, highlighting key mechanisms of action: including antiplatelet, antithrombotic, anti‐inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. Additionally, it illustrates the integration of diet–drug interactions, nutritional epigenetics, and the role of artificial intelligence in ...

The Effect of Tetramethylpyrazine on Hydrogen Peroxide-Induced Oxidative Damage in Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells

open access: yes, 2009
Tetramethylpyrazine has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and hypertension. The underlying mechanism of cardioprotective effects, however, remains to be elucidated. Here, using human

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Investigation of Neuroplasticity After Ischemic Stroke in Tetramethylpyrazine-Treated Rats

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2022
Ischemic stroke elicits white matter injury typically signed by axonal disintegration and demyelination; thus, the development of white matter reorganization is needed. 2,3,5,6-Tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) is widely used to treat ischemic stroke. This study

Silibinin Modulates NF‐κB Activation and Heat Shock Protein in Preeclampsia‐Like Rat Model

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Reproductive Immunology, Volume 96, Issue 1, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Problem Preeclampsia (PE) is a serious human pregnancy complication and remains the most complex hypertensive disorder due to its multifactorial nature and multisystemic effects. Despite the incomplete understanding of the PE pathophysiology, it is well‐accepted that placental changes in PE are associated with oxidative stress, increasing the ...

Stable BF2 Boracycles as Versatile Reagents for Selective Ortho C–H Functionalization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 8, 16 February 2026.
We report a robust, metal‐free and scalable synthesis of stable BF2 boracycles via directed ortho CH borylation, delivering isolable, shelf‐stable reagents without chromatographic purification. These BF2 boracycles exhibit unique and tunable reactivity, enabling highly selective ipso‐functionalization across a broad range of transformations.
