Reactivity of human and porcine natural interferon-alpha producing cells to immunostimulatory DNA [PDF]
The interferon-α (IFN-α) inducing capacity of various forms of immunostimulatory DNA and the identity of the IFN-α producing cells (IPC) were studied in human and porcine leukocytes.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), an enteropathogenic coronavirus causing high mortality in neonatal piglets, continues to threaten global swine industries. Frequent mutations in the spike (S) protein of PEDV, particularly in emerging variants, have substantially compromised commercial vaccine efficacy.

Evaluation of Transmissible Gastroenteritis and Porcine Respiratory Coronavirus Immunologic Interaction in Seronegative Pregnant Gilts [PDF]
19 leaves. Advisor: Mark WelterThe primary objective of this study was to determine if Porcine Respiratory Coronavirus (PRCV) sensitized gilts responded to intranmuscular (IM) vaccination with Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus (TGEV) in a similar ...

Recent Advances in Lateral Flow Immunoassay for Rapid Diagnosis of Viral Diseases
Viral diseases are a major threat to human and animal health, as illustrated by recent pandemics like COVID‐19 and African swine fever (ASF). Timely, accurate detection of viral infections is critical for effective disease control. Among diverse diagnostic techniques, lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) has become a widely used on‐site testing tool, owing ...

Cloning and expression of the membrane protein gene of TGEV HB06 strain [PDF]
The membrane protein gene(M) of transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) strain HB06, isolated from the feces of piglets infected with TGEVon a pig farm in Hebei province, was amplified by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The amplified PCR products of TGEV HB06 were cloned, sequenced, and compared with other TGEV strains ...

Porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) is the severe infectious disease caused by the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), characterized by the onset of watery diarrhea. Anemarrhena asphodeloides polysaccharide, extracted from Anemarrhena asphodeloides, presents potential applications as immunostimulatory and anticancer agent in alternative therapies ...

Prevalence of antibodies against transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) in Hungary
Transmissible gastroenteritis (TGE) is a highly contagious enteric disease of swine, which became infrequent with the appearance of porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCV). TGE was last reported in Hungary in 2013 and the virus has not been found since, therefore a serological survey was planned to estimate the level of protection against it.
