We provided the first evidence that exposure of general adults to ACR was related to ABI decrement and PAD odds increment, which might be partly associated with accelerated biological aging. Lipid and atherosclerosis pathway may be suggestively implicated in the mechanism underlying these associations.

ABSTRACT Ergothioneine (EGT), a natural thiol derivative, has gained attention as a geroprotective nutraceutical. Preclinical research shows EGT scavenges free radicals, maintains mitochondrial integrity, slows telomere erosion, and regulates proteostasis via autophagy and senescent cell clearance.

Decoding Urease Inhibition: A Comprehensive Review of Inhibitor Scaffolds
Representative functional groups known for urease inhibition are reviewed within diverse scaffolds using structure–activity analyses to identify features associated with high inhibitory activity. Urease is a metalloenzyme produced by a wide range of organisms and plays a critical role in nitrogen microbial metabolism by catalyzing the hydrolysis of ...

Heterocyclic systems containing S/N regioselective nucleophilic competition: facile synthesis, antitubercular and antimicrobial activity of thiohydantoins and iminothiazolidinones containing the benzo[b]thiophene moiety [PDF]
The required compounds N-aryl-N'-(3-chloro-2-benzo[b]thenoyl)thioureas 1ak were prepared by condensing 3-chloro-2-benzo[b]thenoyl chloride with different arylamines using ammonium thiocyanate, which in turn when treated with chloroacetic acid, yielded ...

Investigation of Novel Isatinylhydantoin Derivatives as Potential Anti‐Kinetoplastid Agents
A series of isatinylhydantoin derivatives were synthesized and investigated for antileishmanial and antitrypanosomal activities in vitro and in vivo. The derivative 5 was identified with higher leishmanicidal activity than the clinical drug amphotericin B while 4b was uncovered as in vitro trypanocidal hit against T. congolense parasite.
