The aim of this study was to define the clinicopathologic features of phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) and/or thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing 7A (THSD7A) associated membranous nephropathy(MN) focusing on their impact to disease relapse and response to treatment.A total of 201 patients were enrolled for baseline clinical and histopathological ...

A 30-year-old woman with proteinuria first noted at 26 weeks of gestation was admitted to undergo further evaluation. A renal biopsy revealed membranous nephropathy (MN). There was no evidence of any secondary MN. Prednisolone was initiated 6 months after delivery. Four months later, her urine protein became negative.

Structure of the N-terminal didomain d1_d2 of the Thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing 7A
2023Abstract Thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing 7A (THSD7A) is a large extracellular protein that is found in podocyte foot processes of the kidney glomerulus. It has been established as a causative autoantigen in membranous nephropathy.

Association of the Formiminotransferase N-Terminal Sub-Domain Containing Gene and Thrombospondin, Type 1, Domain-Containing 7A Gene With the Prevalence of Vertebral Fracture in 2427 Consecutive Autopsy Cases [PDF]
We previously reported 2 osteoporosis-susceptibility genes--formiminotransferase N-terminal sub-domain containing gene (FONG) and thrombospondin, type 1, domain-containing 7A (THSD7A)--in which we identified two common single-nucleotide polymorphisms, rs7605378 (FONG) and rs12673692 (THSD7A).

Aims Phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) and thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing 7A (THSD7A) were identified as pathogenic antigens in patients with membranous nephropathy (MN). Notably, PLA2R is detected in few patients with malignancy-associated MN, and a high incidence of cancer is reported in patients with

M-type phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) and thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing 7A (THSD7A) have recently been identified as target antigens for patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN). The prevalence of PLA2R and THSD7A in the serum of MN patients deserves further investigation. Here, we studied the presence of anti-PLA2R and anti ...

Membranous nephropathy (MN) is the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome in Caucasians adults. It is defined by the presence of subepithelial immune deposits localized between the podocyte and the glomerular basement membrane (GBM) on electron microscopy examination (EM).
