HSP70 governs permeability and mechanotransduction in primary human endothelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 2, Page 382-396, February 2026.
HSP70 chemical inhibition reduces endothelial cell proliferation and increases permeability, the latter supported by normal interendothelial junctional protein distribution. HSP70 also plays a role in shear stress response, a hemodynamic force naturally present in blood vessels and correlated with vessel protection.

Generation of Mice Harboring Bicc1 Conditional Null Alleles

open access: yesgenesis, Volume 64, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Bicaudal C1 (Bicc1) encodes an RNA‐binding protein critical for many organ development and epithelial tissue homeostasis. Bicc1 null mutations have been shown to lead to the development of polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and death at an early prenatal stage.

The Clinical Significance of Thymidine Kinase 1 Measurement in Serum of Breast Cancer Patients Using Anti-TK1 Antibody

open access: yesThe International Journal of Biological Markers, 2000
The activity of total thymidine kinase in serum (S-TK) has been used as a tumor maker for decades. To date such activity has been determined using [125] I-iodo-deoxyuridine as a substrate.

Expression of Sindbis virus structural proteins via recombinant vaccinia virus: synthesis, processing, and incorporation into mature Sindbis virions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
We have obtained a vaccinia virus recombinant which contains a complete cDNA copy of the 26S RNA of Sindbis virus within the thymidine kinase gene of the vaccinia virus genome.

Does hyperprolactinemia affect hepatic regeneration independent of sex steroids? [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Prolactin, administered exogeneously, has been shown to be trophic to the liver, causing increases in the liver weight-to-body weight ratio, in ornithine decarboxylase activity, and in thymidine kinase activity.
