The Role of One‐Carbon Metabolism in Cancer and Its Therapeutic Significance
One‐Carbon metabolism in T‐cell activation and tumor competition. T‐cell activation shifts metabolic pathways, promoting anabolic metabolism and bioenergetic capacity. One‐carbon metabolism plays a crucial role in histone and DNA methylation in activated T cells.

Wernicke Encephalopathy Complicating a Distinctive POLG Phenotype With MNGIE‐Like Features
ABSTRACT Background Mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy (MNGIE) is an extremely rare autosomal recessive disease caused by variants in the thymidine phosphorylase gene (TYMP), primarily characterized by severe gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms.

Al‐Hilfi et al. present a biocatalytic strategy for synthesizing 5‐methyl‐5,6‐dihydrothymidine (5‐MDHT), a sensitive MRI contrast agent. The study demonstrates that recombinant enzyme catalysis offers an efficient, sustainable, and eco‐friendly alternative to traditional chemical synthesis for producing clinically relevant imaging probes.

This study develops a biomimetic nanoplatform using erythrocyte membrane‐camouflaged, CD144 antibody‐functionalized nanoparticles to deliver 2‐deoxy‐D‐ribose (2dDR). This system promotes heart valve endothelialization by enhancing endothelial cell migration and proliferation via EGFR activation, while improving hemocompatibility.

Spatial transcriptomic analysis of Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC)‐differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) coexisting tumors reveals that coexisting DTC regions with ATC‐like genomic alterations undergo sequential transcriptomic reprogramming and immune microenvironment remodeling, ultimately evolving into a full ATC pathological phenotype.

Diesterified derivatives of 5-iodo-2'-deoxyuridine as cerebral tumor tracers.
With the aim to develop beneficial tracers for cerebral tumors, we tested two novel 5-iodo-2'-deoxyuridine (IUdR) derivatives, diesterified at the deoxyribose residue.
