DAMPs, PAMPs, and Alarmins: From Mechanism to Therapy

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
This review synthesizes the expanding biology of PAMPs and DAMPs, from their molecular sources and sensing mechanisms to regulatory networks that govern inflammation and homeostasis. Spanning from classical immune activation to trained immunity and interorgan communication, we highlight the interplay between PAMPs and DAMPs and their context‐dependent ...

Clinical Efficacy of Neoadjuvant Camrelizumab Plus Chemotherapy for Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer and Tumor Immune Microenvironment Analysis: A Prospective‐Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
Cohort Study Design:Between January 2019 and July 2023, 276 stage II‐III TNBC patients were enrolled in this study, including 56 in the NIC cohort and 220 in the NAC cohort. Due to 17 cases of ineligible criteria, 5 with withdrawal of informed consent, 198 patients in the NAC cohort completed NAC and underwent surgical resection.

Metabolism in Tumor: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Perspectives

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
Tumor metabolic reprogramming converges on three hubs—the SREBP1/2–FASN–SCD1 lipogenic axis, the HIF‐1α–GLUT1–LDHA glycolytic axis, and the LDLR–SCARB1–LXR cholesterol system—which integrate transcriptional, epigenetic (histone lactylation, m6A), and microenvironmental inputs to generate metabolic plasticity, immune evasion, and therapy resistance ...

RNA‐Binding Proteins: Function, Biological Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) regulate RNA stability, localization, translation, and splicing through intrinsic binding domains and interactions with diverse cellular partners. Their competitive and cooperative networks shape disease‐related RNA programs, especially in cancer.

Integrated Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing and Untargeted Metabolomics Reveals β‐Elemene's Immune and Metabolic Modulation in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
In a 4T1 TNBC model, β‐elemene suppressed tumor growth and pulmonary metastasis. scRNA‐seq showed it remodeled the tumor microenvironment by reducing cancer‐associated fibroblasts, enhancing antigen presentation, and inhibiting pro‐tumorigenic ECM remodeling. Metabolomics revealed prostaglandin downregulation.
