IntroductionTNF-α-neutralizing antibodies, such as infliximab (IFX) and adalimumab (ADA), are effective in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), but they are expensive and become ineffective when patients develop anti-IFX or anti-ADA ...

The role of TNF-α in chlamydial clearance is uncertain. Antibody-mediated depletion of TNF-α in mice and guinea pigs has been shown not to significantly affect chlamydial clearance, whereas production of TNF-α in addition to IFN-γ from T cells has been ...

Background: The homeostatic assessment (HOMA) of the first cell-β (B) and insulin (IR) function is used to determine insulin sensitivity and cell-β function of insulin plasma concentrations and fasting glucose. High extracellular glucose levels will trigger an increase in ROS production (which in turn will increase the formation of Reactive Oxygen ...

Bloodstream infections (BSI) are one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in both civilian and military populations. This paper summarizes recent progress in novel treatment strategies to manage BSI arising from both bacterial and fungal pathogens using molecules, particles, and materials to elicit host‐directed immunity.

Introduction: Wound is the result of physical trauma that severs skin continuities. The damage typically causes an inflammatory reaction marked by increase ROS and tissue inflammation. However, this process is still needed to be further investigated. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate plasma MDA, IL-6, TNF-α, Caspase-3 and VEGF levels, and the ...

Self‐Immolative Activatable Nanoassembly toward Immuno‐Photodynamic Therapy in TME
A quinone methide‐gated, self‐immolative, H2O2‐responsive nano‐photosensitizer (Pyz/PS) is developed for targeted immuno‐photodynamic therapy. Pyz/PS selectively activates within tumor microenvironments, restores photosensitizer activity, generates ROS, and depletes intracellular GSH, enhancing oxidative stress.

Light‐Responsive Enzyme‐Loaded Nanoparticles for Tunable Adhesion and Mechanical Wound Contraction
This study presents a photoactivatable enzyme‐loaded mesoporous nanoparticle system (MPDA_PaTy) that enables light‐triggered tunable tissue adhesion and facilitates mechanical wound contraction. Controlled enzymatic crosslinking at tissue or hydrogel interfaces allows on‐demand adhesion.
