Sarcoidosis: is there a role for anti-TNF-α?
AbstractIn severe cases of sarcoidosis treatment can be very difficult. The common treatment strategies might be failing. Tumour necrosis factor (TNF) α therapy is approved in rheumatoid arthritis, M. Crohn, psoriasis and ankylosing spondylitis. In sarcoidosis more recently a phase 2, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was ...

A human cell‐based microphysiological system integrates engineered muscle tissues with an inflamed adipose–macrophage niche to model obese microenvironment‐induced muscle dysfunction. Muscle contraction is quantified by pillar deflection coupled with computational stiffness estimation. Secretome and transcriptomic profiling reveal inflammation‐mediated

Bioengineering tumor‐stroma pancreatic cancer models with potential to emulate the native immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Cancer‐on‐a‐bead models exhibited higher relevance for screening immunotherapies and modulating the protumoral PDAC microenvironment. ABSTRACT Pancreatic cancer is notably resistant to treatment, primarily due to its dense

A methacrylamide β‐cyclodextrin‐based nanogel (MACD nGel) is developed to load the antimicrobial drug Metronidazole (MNZ) for topical delivery for the treatment of periodontitis. It is demonstrated that cyclodextrin nanogel (nGel) loaded with metronidazole provides an efficient drug delivery route but also has potential clinical applications and offers

Hyperuricemia and Pro Inflammatory Cytokine (IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α)
Background. Rugerio et al 2006 reported that there were a positive correlation between the level of hyperuricemia and the level of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α pro infl ammatory cytokines value. On the other hand, Choi et al reported a negative correlation between hyperuricemia and the level of pro infl ammatory cytokine in the late phase of hyperuricemia.
