Towards the total synthesis of vinigrol [PDF]
Virigrol is a unique tricyclic diterpene containing the unprecedented decahydro-1, 5- butanonapathalene framework and with these unusual structural features it also has varied biological activity, making it a challenging synthetic target. Despite various

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Total Synthesis of (±)-Leonuketal
Cleavage of a C–C bond is a diversifying process in the biogenesis of seco-terpenoids that has produced fascinating molecular structures. Leonuketal is an 8,9-seco-labdane terpenoid with a unique tetracyclic structure, owing to a C–C bond cleavage event ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Studies toward the total synthesis of (±)-chartelline C and (-)-platensimycin
textHerein is described our work towards the total synthesis of the marine natural product (±)-chartelline C and the potent antibiotic (-)-platensimycin. Part 1 relates the (±)-chartelline C project.
