MiR-125b-5p/TPD52 Axis Affects Proliferation, Migration and Invasion of Breast Cancer Cells

Molecular Biotechnology, 2022
Aberrant gene expression caused by miRNAs disorders plays a relevant role in multiple steps of tumorigenesis. In this attempt, we studied the functional role of miR-125b-5p and TPD52 in breast cancer. TPD52 mRNA and miR-125b-5p levels were assessed via qRT-PCR, and TPD52 protein level was analyzed via western blot.

microRNA-218 inhibits prostate cancer cell growth and promotes apoptosis by repressing TPD52 expression

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2015
The tumor protein D52 (TPD52) is an oncogene overexpressed in prostate cancer (PC) due to gene amplification. Although the oncogenic effect of TPD52 is well recognized, how its expression is regulated is still not clear. This study tried to explore the regulative role of miR-218, a tumor suppressing miRNA on TPD52 expression and prostate cancer cell ...

AML poor prognosis factor, TPD52, is associated with the maintenance of haematopoietic stem cells through regulation of cell proliferation

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2021
Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is a blood cancer where undifferentiated myeloid cells are increased in the bone marrow and peripheral blood. As AML is dangerous and shows poor prognosis, many researchers categorised the relevant cytogenetic factors ...

TPD52: A Novel Vaccine Target for Prostate Cancer

open access: yes, 2009
Abstract : As outlined in our approved statement of work, the goals of this Award are to test the efficacy of TPD52-based vaccines in the TRAMP murine model of prostate cancer, and to characterize vaccine induced mechanisms of tumor immunity. Specifically, we have begun to evaluate the ability of TPD52-DNA-based vaccines given intramuscularly to induce
