Readily Accessible bTurea‐Derived Nitroxide Polarizing Agents for Dynamic Nuclear Polarization: bcTCOOKs and bcTmols

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Two families of bTurea‐derived biradicals, bcTmols and bcTCOOKs, were prepared as polarizing agents for dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP)‐enhanced NMR through short and efficient synthetic routes. The best‐performing biradical, bcTCOOK‐M2, containing two methyl groups on the urea bridge, provided signal enhancements of up to ∼220 at 14.1 T and 100 K ...

Asymmetric Activation of Tropos Biphenolic Moieties by Isohexides: An Integrated Computational‐Experimental Approach

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The integrated experimental‐computational study on the asymmetric activation exerted by isohexides on tropos tetra‐aryl moieties embedded in a chiral macrocyclic architecture resulted in a complete definition of the stereochemical as well as stereodynamic features of the macrocyclic final compounds.

Amino Acid Modified Polymer Mesh for Removal of the Heavy Metal Ions Pb2+, Hg2+, Cu2+, and Ni2+ From Aqueous Solutions

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
Adsorbents for cations of copper, lead, mercury, and nickel are obtained via grafting polymer mesh with an acrylic acid copolymer and subsequent functionalization with an amino acid. A distinct influence of the type of amino acid on the adsorption occurs.

Continuous Homogeneously Catalyzed Hydrogenation of CO2 to Formic Acid in Miniplant Scale

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
A homogeneously catalyzed multiphase reaction for CO2 hydrogenation to formic acid is demonstrated in a continuous miniplant. The study focuses on catalyst recycling, product stability, and the impact of gas composition on formic acid formation. ABSTRACT A homogeneously catalyzed, high‐pressure hydrogenation reaction to convert carbon dioxide to formic

Microwave‐assisted catalytic pyrolysis of textile wastes: Synergistic effects and product characteristics

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract This study examines the microwave‐assisted catalytic pyrolysis (MACP) of individual and blended textiles (cotton, polyester, nylon 6) using ZnO and a ZnO/natural zeolite catalyst. In a custom‐built microwave reactor operated at 500°C, 1 kW power, and a 15‐min residence time, textile wastes were pyrolyzed.
