Single‐Particle FRET Probes Heterogeneity in the Ligand Shell of Colloidal Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐particle, single‐molecule Förster resonance energy transfer turns dye‐tagged ligands into nanorulers for the otherwise elusive organic shell of CsPbBr3 quantum dots. Distance variations within individual particles reveal pronounced local heterogeneity, while changes in the surrounding ligand chemistry shift the average dye–surface separation ...

A facile synthesis of primary amines via organoboranes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Primary amines are formed via the reaction of organoboranes with hydrazoic acid. Reactions have been carried out using both preformed hydrazoic acid and in situ generated hydrazoic acid.

An Olfactory Subsystem that Mediates High-Sensitivity Detection of Volatile Amines

open access: yesCell Reports, 2012
Olfactory stimuli are detected by over 1,000 odorant receptors in mice, with each receptor being mapped to specific glomeruli in the olfactory bulb. The trace amine-associated receptors (TAARs) are a small family of evolutionarily conserved olfactory ...
