An investigation of some factors affecting transdermal permeation
Factors affecting transdermal permeation were investigated using Differential Thermal Anlaysis (DTA) and in vitro penetration studies of neonatal rat stratum corneum (s.c.), with radiolabelled propanol and hexanol as penetrants. Thermogravimetric Analysis, Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Infrared Spectroscopy were used to provide additional ...

ABSTRACT Aim Neonatal jaundice may increase the likelihood of autism through its influence on neurodevelopment. We assessed whether neonatal jaundice increases the risk for autism while accounting for confounding of perinatal risk factors. Method We used a population‐based cohort of 1 669 830 individuals born in Sweden between 1992 and 2010 ...

Recovery and protection of photo‐damaged hairs with keratin‐encapsulated cationic liposomes
Homogeneous and highly stable cationic liposomes encapsulated with keratin were fabricated using the high‐pressure homogenization method, which could improve the adherence of keratin on the hair cuticle and its penetration into hair fibres, thereby effectively enhancing the recovery of photo‐damaged hair.
