Dual‐Specificity Phosphatase 26 Protects Against Cardiac Hypertrophy Through TAK1

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2021
Background Heart pathological hypertrophy has been recognized as a predisposing risk factor for heart failure and arrhythmia. DUSP (dual‐specificity phosphatase) 26 is a member of the DUSP family of proteins, which has a significant effect on ...

LUAS DEFEK MENINGOKEL BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KADAR TRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR β1 (TGF-β1)DAN INSULINE-LIKE GROWTH FACTOR-1 (IGF-1) DALAM TULANG

open access: yesJurnal Kedokteran Brawijaya, 2013
Meningocele pathogenesis is based on skull defect that occurs since the first three month of fertilization period. Through that defect, mening, cerebrospinal liquid, and cerebral parenchym is protruded. Meningocele can cause by folic aciddeficiency that had proved correlation with TGF-β1 and IGF-I level, both in maternal blood or baby rat’s skull.

Transforming Growth Factor-β-Induced Cell Plasticity in Liver Fibrosis and Hepatocarcinogenesis

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2018
The Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-β) family plays relevant roles in the regulation of different cellular processes that are essential for tissue and organ homeostasis.

Aging, osteoarthritis and transforming growth factor-beta signaling in cartilage. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Osteoarthritis is a common malady of the musculoskeletal system affecting the articular cartilage. The increased frequency of osteoarthritis with aging indicates the complex etiology of this disease, which includes pathophysiology and joint stability ...

Transcriptomic and ChIP-sequence interrogation of EGFR signaling in HER2+ breast cancer cells reveals a dynamic chromatin landscape and S100 genes as targets. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
BACKGROUND:The Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR/HER1) can be activated by several ligands including Transforming Growth Factor alpha (TGF-α) and Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF).

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Peran transforming growth factor-`β pada reaksi eritema nodosum leprosum berulang

open access: yesMedia Dermato-Venereologica Indonesiana, 2019

Gap junction reduction in cardiomyocytes following transforming growth factor- beta treatment and Trypanosoma cruzi infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Gap junction connexin-43 (Cx43) molecules are responsible for electrical impulse conduction in the heart and are affected by transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta).

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
