Preoperative Diagnosis of the Bile Duct Traumatic Neuroma by Endoscopic Ultrasound‐guided Tissue Acquisition: A Case Report

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 7, Issue 1, April 2027.
ABSTRACT Traumatic neuroma of the cystic duct stump is a rare benign lesion that may mimic biliary malignancy, making preoperative diagnosis challenging. We report a case of an enhancing lesion at the cystic duct stump after cholecystectomy that was diagnosed by endoscopic ultrasound‐guided tissue acquisition (EUS‐TA).

Microglial Labeling in Mouse Spinal Cord Injury: A Review of Timing, Efficacy, and Specificity

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 12, December 2026.
The transcriptional profile of microglia is significantly altered after spinal cord injury (SCI). When choosing a marker to label microglia after SCI, it is important to consider its specificity for microglia and its stability of expression. ABSTRACT Traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) is a complex and disabling condition with no curative therapy ...

Astrocytic EAAT‐2 Upregulation Supports Neuro‐Axonal Homeostasis in Chronic Inflammatory CNS Lesions

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 12, December 2026.
Inflammatory CNS lesions increase extracellular glutamate. Astrocytic EAAT regulation controls glutamate clearance, stabilizes axonal Ca2+ homeostasis, and determines neurite survival during chronic neuroinflammation. ABSTRACT Neuronal loss in multiple sclerosis (MS) is a key factor in the progression of disability.

Application and Research Progress of Nucleic Acid‐Based Drug Delivery Systems in the Treatment of Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 5, Issue 4, December 2026.
This review summarizes recent advances in NADDS for treating ICH, highlighting the advantages and applications of key delivery technologies including lipid nanoparticles, exosomes, and DNA nanostructures. ABSTRACT Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a devastating stroke subtype associated with high mortality and neurological disability, yet effective ...

CCR1 Antagonism by BX471 Attenuates Neuroinflammation and Apoptosis: Preliminary Findings From an In Vitro Model of Neuronal Injury

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 6, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Neuronal injury as traumatic brain injury (TBI) triggers a complex pathophysiological cascade involving inflammatory and apoptosis processes. BX471 is a selective C‐C chemokine receptor type 1 (CCR1) antagonist that showed a promising effect in modulating neuroinflammation in central nervous system (CNS) disorders.
