Regulatory T (Treg) cells are a population of cells that are heterogeneous in origin and in functional activity. Treg cells constitute an essential counterbalance to adaptive immune responses.

Summary Foxp3+ T regulatory (Treg) cells regulate immune responses and maintain self-tolerance. Recent work shows that Treg cells are comprised of many subpopulations with specialized regulatory functions. Here we identified Foxp3+ T cells expressing the

m6A‐Mediated Glycolysis by IL‐37 Drives T Cell Metabolic Reprogramming to Regulate Colitis
This study identifies an IL‐37/SIGIRR‐METTL14 regulatory axis that suppresses global m6A modification in CD4+ T cells. IL‐37 signaling, mediated through SIGIRR, inhibits IRAK4 and JNK phosphorylation, leading to downregulation of the methyltransferase METTL14.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) features a decreased pool of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ T regulatory (Treg) cells. We had previously observed NKG2D+CD4+ T cell expansion in contrast to a decreased pool of Treg cells in SLE patients, but whether NKG2D+CD4+ T ...

IPEX syndrome and human Treg cells
CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells which have also been described as regulatory T cells (Treg), have immune inhibitory functions in the immune system. This population inhibits excessive immune responses, such as those present in patients with autoimmune disease, allergy and inflammation, and plays an important role in maintenance of immunological homeostasis.

TGF-β Control of Adaptive Immune Tolerance: a Break from Treg Cells
The vertebrate adaptive immune system has well defined functions in maintaining tolerance to self‐tissues. Suppression of autoreactive T cells is dependent on the regulatory cytokine transforming growth factor‐β (TGF‐β) and regulatory T (Treg) cells, a ...

In rheumatoid arthritis, synovial Tregs accumulate but are functionally impaired due to iron overload‐induced ferroptosis. This triggers mitochondrial dysfunction and TXK tyrosine kinase‐mediated signaling, leading to Treg destabilization and inflammation.

BackgroundNon-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common, chronic liver disease worldwide. Recent studies have shown that T helper (Th) 17 and regulatory T (Treg) cells play critical roles in various disorders of liver inflammation.

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome
