Suppressive IL-17A+Foxp3+ and ex-Th17 IL-17AnegFoxp3+ Treg cells are a source of tumour-associated Treg cells

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Th17 and regulatory T (Treg) cells are integral in maintaining immune homeostasis and Th17–Treg imbalance is associated with inflammatory immunosuppression in cancer. Here we show that Th17 cells are a source of tumour-induced Foxp3+ cells.

CD4+ Tregs Drive Post‐Ischemic Sprouting Angiogenesis via Endothelial YY1/MAML1 Reactivation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microvascular complications of diabetes are chronic diseases of small vessels. We previously found that CD4+ regulatory T‐cells (Tregs) are markedly reduced in type 2 diabetes (T2D) after ischemic injury in both mice and humans, and that Treg deficiency in immunodeficient mice impairs vascular regeneration.

Stability and Maintenance of Foxp3+ Treg Cells in Non-lymphoid Microenvironments

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2019
Foxp3+ Treg cells are indispensable for maintaining self-tolerance in secondary lymphoid organs (SLOs). However, Treg cells are also recruited to non-lymphoid tissues (NLTs) during inflammation.

Combination Immunotherapy as a Promising Strategy to Overcome Immunotherapy Resistance: From Emergence to Next‐Generation Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review examines emerging combination immunotherapy strategies tailored to distinct tumor microenvironments and highlights next‐generation biomarkers that guide response prediction and treatment personalization. It integrates lessons from unsuccessful trials, addresses toxicity challenges, and outlines approaches for early biomarker discovery and ...

New Paradigm in the Role of Regulatory T Cells During Pregnancy

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2019
Semi-allogenic fetuses are not rejected by the maternal immune system because feto-maternal tolerance induced by CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ regulatory T (Treg) cells is established during pregnancy.

O‐GlcNAcylated TAP1 Impairs Antigen Presentation and Promotes Immune Evasion in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article unveils a critical mechanism of immune evasion in bladder cancer, which the O‐GlcNAc modification of TAP1 disrupts antigen presentation. This modification triggers HLA‐A degradation, shielding tumor cells from CD8+ T cell attack. The findings highlight targeting this pathway as a promising therapeutic avenue to sensitize tumors to ...

Tumor‐Derived LAMB3 Drives Immunosuppressive LRRC15+ Fibroblast Formation During Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A single‐cell atlas of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma development reveals progressive ductal‐fibroblast‐immune crosstalk. Tumor‐derived LAMB3 drives the formation of immunosuppressive LRRC15+ fibroblasts through the ITGB1/FAK/MAPK/FOSL2 signaling. Glycolytic reprogramming upregulates LAMB3 and correlates with LRRC15+ fibroblast enrichment.

Role of Regulatory T cell in Clinical Outcome of Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesChinese Medical Journal, 2015
Background: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a life-threatening disease worldwide. Regulatory T cells (Treg cells) were involved in the immunological system in central nervous system.

IL-33 dysregulates regulatory T (Treg) cells and impairs established immunological tolerance in the lungs

open access: yesJournal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 2017
Background Airway exposure to environmental antigens generally leads to immunologic tolerance. A fundamental question remains: Why is airway tolerance compromised in patients with allergic airway diseases?

Macrophage Extracellular Traps in Immunity and Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As a macrophage‐mediated innate defense mechanism, the dysregulated release of METs drives chronic inflammation and influences tumor progression. Furthermore, METs exhibit a functional duality within the tumor microenvironment, capable of both promoting and suppressing tumor development.
