Background tRNA-derived small noncoding RNAs (sncRNAs) are mainly categorized into tRNA halves (tiRNAs) and fragments (tRFs). Biological functions of tiRNAs in human solid tumor are attracting more and more attention, but researches concerning the ...

The KIF6‐RBP Complex Orchestrates mRNA Transport Required for Sperm Flagellar Assembly
Two homozygous deleterious KIF6 variants are identified in unrelated men with impaired sperm motility. Mouse models and multi‐omics analyses reveal that KIF6 cooperates with the RNA‐binding proteins FMRP and FXR1 to deliver mRNAs essential for sperm flagellar assembly, linking disrupted mRNA transport to reduced abundance of key structural and ...

A Universal Protein Ladder for Standardization of Diverse FRET Assays
Translating FRET measurements from in vitro to intracellular environments requires universal benchmarks. We present a modular protein ladder using TPR motifs to harmonize data across diverse platforms. This predictable calibration curve bridges single molecule FRET measurements, with cell based measurements including FLIM‐FRET.

The role of ANGIOGENIN, or lack thereof, in the generation of stress-induced tRNA halves and of smaller tRNA fragments that enter Argonaute complexes [PDF]
ABSTRACT Overexpressed Angiogenin (ANG) cleaves tRNA anticodons to produce tRNA halves similar to those produced in response to stress, but it is not clear whether endogenous ANG is essential for producing the stress-induced tRNA halves. It is also not clear whether smaller tRNA fragments (tRFs) are generated from the

A Panel of Circulating Exosomal sncRNAs Associated With Lung Cancer Risk up to 10 Years in Advance
Lung cancer is often diagnosed too late, and current screening overlooks many people at risk. In a long‐term study of smokers, a panel of small non‐coding RNAs carried in blood exosomes signals elevated lung cancer risk up to ten years before diagnosis, pointing toward a blood‐based tool for earlier risk detection.

tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs): establishing their dominance in the regulation of human cancer
The main function of transfer RNAs (tRNAs) is to carry amino acids into the ribosome and synthesize proteins under the guidance of messenger RNAs (mRNAs).

Exposure to CS causes an elevation of AARS1 levels, which increases the levels of RUNX3 lactylation at the K193 site and increases protein levels of RUNX3 through inhibition of autolysosomal degradation. Elevated RUNX3 levels promote CD8+T cell activation and augment their cytotoxicity, which induces alveolar epithelial cell death and facilitates the ...

DDX3x Regulates NINJ1 Transcription via Histone Lactylation in Sepsis Associated‐Acute Kidney Injury
This study identifies a potential therapeutic approach for sepsis‐associated acute kidney injury (SA‐AKI). We found that during SA‐AKI, reduced expression of DDX3x in renal tubular epithelial cells mediates histone delactylation, which in turn upregulates NINJ1 transcription and triggers tubular cell death. Conversely, Odetiglucan confers protection by

A mitochondria‐derived tRNA half, mt‐5’‐tiRNA‐Tyr, is upregulated in colorectal cancer tissues and plasma and promotes tumor proliferation. It binds HARS2 and promotes CPT1A‐associated HARS2 K91 succinylation, disrupts HARS2–mt‐tRNA‐His association, impairs mitochondrial translation, enhances succinate‐linked metabolic reprogramming, and shows promise ...
