Dynamics of semiflexible polymer solutions in the tightly entangled concentration regime [PDF]
I corroborate an important experimental evidence reported by Schuldt et al. [ Phys. Rev. Lett. 2016, 117, 197801] revealing the incapability of the current theoretical framework to fully describe the dynamics of semiflexible polymer solutions in the ...

Nerve Excitability in Asymptomatic Carriers and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Patients With C9orf72
ABSTRACT Objective We investigated the effects of C9orf72 mutation carriership on peripheral nerve excitability in asymptomatic individuals from families with a history of C9orf72 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and patients. Methods We included 47 asymptomatic individuals from families with a history of C9orf72 ALS, of whom 23 were carriers (C9 ...

Decreased Serum 5‐HT: Clinical Correlates and Regulatory Role in NMJ of MG
ABSTRACT Objective Although 5‐Hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT) indirectly stimulates muscle contraction and participates in regulating Acetylcholine receptor (AChR) cluster homeostasis in cellular, animal, and clinical studies, evidence regarding its potential to modulate muscle contraction in myasthenia gravis (MG) remains limited.

Cardiospecific troponins in non-ischemic cardiological pathologies
Cardiospecific troponin T (TnT) and I (TnI) are low-molecularweight proteins that form part of the troponin complex and are integral components of the myofibrillar contractile apparatus of the heart.

Interaction of aldolase with the troponin–tropomyosin complex of bovine muscle [PDF]
Ultracentrifugal studies of mixtures of aldolase and the troponin–tropomyosin complex from bovine muscle showed the existence of a labile interaction between these two myofibrillar constituents in imidazole buffers, pH6.8, I 0.02–0.10 (mol/l), and the suppression of the reaction by fructose 1,6-diphosphate.

Genetically Encoded Biosensors Reveal PKA Hyperphosphorylation on the Myofilaments in Rabbit Heart Failure [PDF]
RATIONALE: In heart failure, myofilament proteins display abnormal phosphorylation, which contributes to contractile dysfunction. The mechanisms underlying the dysregulation of protein phosphorylation on myofilaments is not clear.
