U‐indel RNA editing targets mRNA:gRNA duplexes through three key complexes that collectively govern assembly, specificity, catalysis, and developmental regulation. Modern tools, including artificial intelligence, analyze the organization, dynamics, and evolution of the remarkable holo‐editosome, opening new avenues in RNA biology and therapy.

Counterflow dielectrophoresis for trypanosome enrichment and detection in blood [PDF]
Human African trypanosomiasis or sleeping sickness is a deadly disease endemic in sub-Saharan Africa, caused by single-celled protozoan parasites. Although it has been targeted for elimination by 2020, this will only be realized if diagnosis can be ...

Prevalence of Human and Animal African Trypanosomiasis in Nigeria: A Scoping Review
African trypanosomiasis is a protozoan disease that affects both humans and animals. Human African Trypanosomiasis (HAT) is a Neglected Tropical Disease targeted for elimination in 2030.

ABSTRACT Approaches integrating geospatial “big data” and machine learning will likely be increasingly used to predict conservation‐related human behavior, such as patterns of local engagement, in socioecological systems. Yet, few studies evaluate both the technical and ethical aspects of such applications.

Green fluorescent diamidines as diagnostic probes for trypanosomes [PDF]
LED fluorescence microscopy offers potential benefits to the diagnosis of human African trypanosomiasis, as well as to other aspects of diseases management, such as detection of drug resistant strains.

Cytotoxicity and Antimicrobial Activity of GaMF1 Analogs
GaMF1 is a reported, highly potent inhibitor of mycobacterial ATP synthase. Structural modification of this scaffold significantly changes biological activity. We present GaMF1 analogues with strong antiparasitic effects, potential antiproliferative properties, and discuss the selectivity limitations of the parent compound and its analogues.

Microfluidics-based approaches to the isolation of African trypanosomes [PDF]
African trypanosomes are responsible for significant levels of disease in both humans and animals. The protozoan parasites are free-living flagellates, usually transmitted by arthropod vectors, including the tsetse fly. In the mammalian host they live in

Chemotherapy‐induced efferocytosis drives ovarian cancer stem cell enrichment. By engulfing apoptotic cancer cells, macrophages upregulate ODC1 and produce putrescine, which elevates osteopontin (OPN) expression. Secreted OPN then activates the CD44 receptor on cancer cells, promoting stemness and chemoresistance.
