Protein heterogeneity of lipoprotein particles containing apolipoprotein A-I without apolipoprotein A-II and apolipoprotein A-I with apolipoprotein A-II isolated from human plasma.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
The protein heterogeneity of fractions isolated by immunoaffinity chromatography on anti-apolipoprotein A-I and anti-apolipoprotein A-II affinity columns was analyzed by high resolution two-dimensional gel electrophoresis.

Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis in proteomics: A tutorial

open access: yesJournal of Proteomics, 2011
Two-dimensional electrophoresis of proteins has preceded, and accompanied, the birth of proteomics. Although it is no longer the only experimental scheme used in modern proteomics, it still has distinct features and advantages. The purpose of this tutorial paper is to guide the reader through the history of the field, then through the main steps of the

Automatic selection of two-dimensional electrophoresis gel with least geometric distortions

open access: yesMokslas: Lietuvos Ateitis, 2010
The paper presents an algorithm for automated selection of the highest quality two-dimensional gel electrophoresis image. The quality criterion is the amount of vertical geometric distortions of the gel.

A Routine ‘Top-Down’ Approach to Analysis of the Human Serum Proteome

open access: yesProteomes, 2017
Serum provides a rich source of potential biomarker proteoforms. One of the major obstacles in analysing serum proteomes is detecting lower abundance proteins owing to the presence of hyper-abundant species (e.g., serum albumin and immunoglobulins ...

Application of Fluorescence Two-Dimensional Difference In-Gel Electrophoresis as a Proteomic Biomarker Discovery Tool in Muscular Dystrophy Research

open access: yesBiology, 2013
In this article, we illustrate the application of difference in-gel electrophoresis for the proteomic analysis of dystrophic skeletal muscle. The mdx diaphragm was used as a tissue model of dystrophinopathy.

Comparative 2-DE protein analysis in a 3-D geometry gel

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2007
Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) separation has not been considered suitable for large-scale comparative protein expression studies due to its limited throughput.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Protein profile analysis of Malaysian snake venoms by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis

open access: yesJournal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases, 2010
Snake venoms comprise a highly complex mixture of proteins, which requires for their characterization the use of versatile two-dimensional electrophoresis techniques.

Dataset of Two-Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis Images of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients before and after Induction Therapy

open access: yesData, 2021
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a malignant disorder of the hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, which results in the build-up of immature blasts in the bone marrow and eventually in the peripheral blood of affected patients.
