Protein profile analysis of Malaysian snake venoms by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis

open access: yesJournal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases, 2010
Snake venoms comprise a highly complex mixture of proteins, which requires for their characterization the use of versatile two-dimensional electrophoresis techniques.

Dataset of Two-Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis Images of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients before and after Induction Therapy

open access: yesData, 2021
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a malignant disorder of the hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, which results in the build-up of immature blasts in the bone marrow and eventually in the peripheral blood of affected patients.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Puzzle of Proteoform Variety—Where Is a Key?

open access: yesProteomes
One of the human proteome puzzles is an imbalance between the theoretically calculated and experimentally measured amounts of proteoforms. Considering the possibility of combinations of different post-translational modifications (PTMs), the quantity of ...

Utility of Two-Dimensional Difference Gel Electrophoresis in Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2018
Two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis (2D-DIGE) has been used for identification of possible biomarkers in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients.

Proteomics-on-a-chip for Biomarker discovery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In proteomics research still two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2D-GE) is currently used for biomarker discovery. We applied free flow electrophoresis (FFE) separation technology combined with biomolecular interaction sensing using Surface Plasmon ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Anchorage‐independent and faster growth in clonal population from UV‐irradiated NER‐deficient cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UV‐irradiated cells expressing a DDB2 mutant protein unable to interact with PCNA (DDB2PCNA‐) form clones able to grow without anchorage. Different experimental approaches reveal heterogeneity in cell cycle regulation and drug response within these clones, emphasizing the crucial role of the DDB2‐PCNA interaction in preventing cellular transformation ...
