An efficient chemoenzymatic production of small molecule glucosides with in situ UDP-glucose recycling [PDF]
A one-pot system for efficient enzymatic synthesis of curcumin glucosides is described. The method couples the activities of two recombinant enzymes, UDP-glucose: curcumin glucosyltransferase from Catharanthus roseus (CaUGT2) and sucrose synthase from ...

Identification and Characterization of DcUSAGT1, a UDP-Glucose: Sinapic Acid Glucosyltransferase from Purple Carrot Taproots. [PDF]
Purple carrots accumulate abundant cyanidin-based anthocyanins in taproots. UDP-glucose: sinapic acid glucosyltransferase (USAGT) can transfer the glucose moiety to the carboxyl group of sinapic acid thereby forming the ester bond between the carboxyl-C ...

ABSTRACT Under increasing climate variability and the expansion of rice cultivation into marginal cold‐prone environments, low temperature has become a major constraint on yield stability and sustainable rice production. Rice is particularly vulnerable to transient cold stress during reproductive development, and cold injury at the booting stage often ...

This review analyzes single/combined abiotic (light, water, nutrients, hormones) and biotic (microbes, yeast) elicitors regulating signaling, gene expression, and metabolism to boost plant secondary metabolites. It highlights synergistic multielicitor strategies for crop quality and functional foods, while critically addressing current limitations and ...

Limonoids are abundant as bitter taste in citrus fruit and other plants. Interestingly. limonoid UDP-glucosyltransferase (LUGT) effectively ameliorates the bitterness from limonoid. The high level of LUGT expression in Escherichia coli can result in the formation of insoluble aggregates known as inclusion bodies.
