The synthesis of UDP-galactosamine and UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1970
Abstract A commercially available preparation of galactose-1-phosphateuridyl transferase was used in the synthesis of UDP-galactosamine and UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine. The method provides a relatively simple means for preparing these important biological materials in high yield and in an isotopic form of almost any desired specific radioactivity ...

Transport Features of the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and Lightweight UDP (UDP-Lite)

2018
This is an informational document that describes the transport protocol interface primitives provided by the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and the Lightweight User Datagram Protocol (UDP-Lite) transport protocols. It identifies the datagram services exposed to applications and how an application can configure and use the features offered by the Internet

Determination of UDP-glucuronyltransferase using UDP-[14C]glucuronic acid

Biochemical Pharmacology, 1975
Abstract A method for the evaluation of UDPGT activity is proposed using [14C]UDPGA. Free UDPGA, glucuronide and aglycone were seperated on an Amberlite XAD2 column. This method is suitable for every substrate able to be bound to the resin such as phenolic compounds.

Human UDP-Glucuronosyltransferase 2B7

Current Drug Metabolism, 2001
UDP-Glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs) are glycoproteins, localized in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and nuclear membranes, which catalyze the confugation of a broad variety of lipophilic aglycon substrates with glucuronic acid using UDP-glucuronic acid (UDP-GlcUA) as the sugar donor.

Enhanced UDP-glucose and UDP-galactose by homologous overexpression of UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase in Lactobacillus casei

Journal of Biotechnology, 2011
UDP-sugars are widely used as substrates in the synthesis of oligosaccharides catalyzed by glycosyltransferases. In the present work a metabolic engineering strategy aimed to direct the carbon flux towards UDP-glucose and UDP-galactose biosynthesis was successfully applied in Lactobacillus casei.

The preparation of UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine from UDP-N-acetylglucosamine employing UDP-N-acetylglucosamine-4-epimerase

Analytical Biochemistry, 1982
Abstract A rapid, simple, and inexpensive method has been developed for preparing UDP- N -acetylgalactosamine in amounts sufficient for several thousand assays of enzymes that employ this nucleotide sugar as substrate. The UDP- N -acetylglucosamine-4-epimerase in extracts of porcine submaxillary glands was used to convert UDP- N -acetylglucosamine to
