Differential Effects of VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 Inhibition on Tumor Metastases Based on Host Organ Environment

open access: yes, 2010
Tumors induce new blood vessel growth primarily from host organ microvascular endothelial cells (EC), and microvasculature differs significantly between the lung and liver.

Hydrogel‐based drug delivery systems for intracerebral hemorrhage with therapeutic advances and emerging roles of the bone–brain axis

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based drug delivery systems offer a promising approach for treating intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) by overcoming blood‐brain barrier limitations, enabling precise, sustained release of neuroprotective and anti‐inflammatory agents. These systems enhance treatment efficacy, but challenges remain in biosafety, drug penetration, and scalability ...

VEGFR-1, Bcl-2, and HO-1 Ratios in Pregnant Women With Hypertension

open access: yesClinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis, 2013
Backgound/Aim: Preeclampsia (PE) is a multisystem disease resulting in high maternal–fetal morbidity and mortality. The aim of the study was to investigate antiangiogenesis-associated alterations in antiapoptotic and antioxidative proteins in PE. Method:

Unveiling the roles of extracellular vesicles in hematologic malignancies: Pathogenesis, diagnostic tools, and clinical translation

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicles play pivotal roles in both healthy hematopoiesis and hematologic malignancies. They not only regulate hematopoietic stem cell fitness but also drive cancer progression and drug resistance. Their clinical potential spans from serving as non‐invasive biomarkers to acting as innovative therapeutic platforms and drug delivery ...

Notch, IL-1 and leptin crosstalk outcome (NILCO) is critical for leptin-induced proliferation, migration and VEGF/VEGFR-2 expression in breast cancer.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
High levels of pro-angiogenic factors, leptin, IL-1, Notch and VEGF (ligands and receptors), are found in breast cancer, which is commonly correlated with metastasis and lower survival of patients.

Analysis of results determination of level of vascular endothelial growth factor, receptor for vascular endothelial growth factor and big endotelin-1 in structure of arteriovenous malformations

open access: yesУкраїнська Інтервенційна Нейрорадіологія та Хірургія, 2022
Objective ‒ to assess the diagnostic significance of angiogenesis factors based on the study of the level of angiogenesis factors (vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A), specific receptor for vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGFR-1 ...

Investigation of Site-Specific Differences in Glycan Microheterogeneity by N-Glycopeptide Mapping of VEGFR-IgG Fusion Protein

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
A biosimilar fusion protein VEGFR-IgG consisting of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors 1 and 2 (VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2) and the Fc portion of human IgG1 was prepared for this study.

COL1A1+ Epithelial Cells Orchestrate VEGFA‐VEGFR Signaling in Endometritis Revealed by Single‐Cell Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA‐seq of normal and endometritis endometrium shows reduced epithelial cells and fate divergence toward ferroptosis or ribosome/antigen‐presentation programs. COL1A1+ epithelial cells act as an AP‐1–driven hub that enhances VEGFA–VEGFR signaling and remodels the vascular microenvironment.

Rapamycin Inhibits Lymphatic Endothelial Cell Tube Formation by Downregulating Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 3 Protein Expression

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research, 2012
Mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) controls lymphangiogenesis. However, the underlying mechanism is not clear. Here we show that rapamycin suppressed insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1)- or fetal bovine serum (FBS)-stimulated lymphatic endothelial ...
