Karyological Studies on Vigna subterranea (L.) Verdc. from Nigeria
Cytological investigation was conducted on Vigna subterranean (L.) Verdc. using root squash technique. Apices of root tips pretreated for 3 h with 2 mM 8-hydroxyquinoline, fixed for 24 h with 1 : 3 acetic ethanol (aq.), and hydrolised with 10% HCl were squashed in drops of FLP orcein on clean glass slides.
