Bleomycin‐Induced Acral Dyshidrosiform Eruption: A Rare Cutaneous Toxicity Mimicking Eczema

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Bleomycin toxicity can present as dyshidrotic eczema on acral surfaces, distinct from classic flagellate erythema. This rare eruption is often refractory to corticosteroids but resolves upon drug discontinuation. Early recognition is crucial to avoid unnecessary antimicrobial therapy and to guide timely chemotherapy modification.

HURP binding to the vinca domain of β-tubulin accounts for cancer drug resistance

open access: yesNature Communications
Vinca alkaloids, a class of tubulin-binding agent, are widely used in treating cancer, yet the emerging resistance compromises their efficacy. Hepatoma up-regulated protein (HURP), a microtubule-associated protein displaying heightened expression across ...

Utility of Vibration Perception Thresholds as a Biomarker of Chemotherapy‐Induced Peripheral Neuropathy: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pain, Volume 30, Issue 6, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Objective Chemotherapy‐induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a common, debilitating, and treatment‐limiting adverse effect of many agents used for cancer treatment. There is currently no gold‐standard diagnostic criterion nor a widely accepted method for accurate and early identification of CIPN. Vibration perception threshold

Antioxidant and Cytotoxic Properties of Piper spp. Volatile Oils That Inhibit Pathogenic Microorganisms

open access: yesFlavour and Fragrance Journal, Volume 41, Issue 4, Page 935-942, July 2026.
The samples were fungicidal against Candida, with MICs ranging from 62.5 to 250 μg/mL, and fungistatic against Penicillium adametzii, Aspergillus flavus and A. niger, with MICs of 1000 μg/mL. The volatile oils of Piper aduncum and Piper marginatum reduced the viability of MDA‐MB231 cells.
