The active role of KCl as a neutral electrolyte enables switching the selectivity on a Cu organic framework from C1 to C2+ products during electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. ABSTRACT We introduce a copper‐nicotinate (Cu‐NA) framework as a halogenide‐stabilized Cu+/Cu0 pre‐catalyst for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction with high C2+ selectivity in a “neutral”

Biphasic effect of nitric oxide on the cardiac voltage-dependent anion channel
Nitric oxide (NO) effects on the cardiac mitochondrial voltage-dependent anion channel (VDAC) are unknown. The effects of exogenous NO on VDAC purified from rat hearts were investigated in this study.

Innovative hybrid nanoassemblies installed with ferrocene, D‐α‐tocopherol succinate, and phloretin exploit the metabolic vulnerability of triple‐negative breast cancer under glucose starvation. By blocking glucose uptake, this single nanoplatform simultaneously orchestrates apoptosis, disulfidptosis, and ferroptosis to achieve synergistic and ...

Synthesis of AgBiS2 and AgInS2 Based on Formation Energies in Sulfur‐Rich Reducing Flame
High‐surface‐area AgInS2 and AgBiS2 nanoparticles were synthesized via enclosed flame spray pyrolysis by tuning flame conditions and formation energies to guide phase formation. Flame parameters were tuned to suppress oxides and enable pure sulfide phase growth.

Proteomic analysis of cellular models of neurodegeneration and mitochondrial dysfunction
Mitochondrial dysfunction is thought to contribute to neurodegenerative processes. As an example, dysfunction of complex I of the electron transport chain has been observed in Parkinson’s disease patients and 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6 tetrahydropyridine (

Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.
