[Research progress about Wapl gene].
Sheng li ke xue jin zhan [Progress in physiology], 2012In Drosophila melanogasler, the wings apart-like (wapl) gene encodes a protein that regulates heterochromatin structure. Human wapl gene is human homolognue of wapl, they have same function. HWAPL is a cohesion-binding protein that affect chromosomal segregation.

Normativity and the Meaning of Endangered : Response to Waples et al. 2007
Conservation Biology, 2007There has been increased interest recently in better understanding the meaning of endangered species as defined in the 1973 U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA). Waples et al. (2007) provide an account that is, in part, a reaction to a position presented by us in Vucetich et al. (2006). Here, we extend this discussion with comments focused on Waples et al.

Expression of various types of alternatively spliced WAPL transcripts in human cervical epithelia
Gene, 2008We have previously identified a novel gene WAPL that is inducible by human papillomavirus (HPV) E6 and E7 oncoproteins, and is associated with uterine cervical carcinogenesis. A WAPL splice variant named Friend of EBNA2 (FOE) has also been characterized as a binding partner of the Epstein-Barr virus transformation-related protein EBNA2.
