Optimization of extraction conditions of phytochemical compounds and anti-gout activity of euphorbia hirta l. (Ara Tanah) using response surface methodology and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Gout is a common disease affected most of the people due to the elevation of uric acid in the blood. Flavonoid and phenolic compounds are reported to exert the anti-gout activity of medicinal plants. Hence, this study aimed at optimizing the extraction

Nitrogen‐Boosted H2O2 Production of Arginine‐Polyphenol Nanozyme Drives Oxidative Eustress for Hair Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PEA nanoenzymes are assembled from L‐arginine and EGCG. The nitrogen element in arginine enhances the thermodynamic feasibility of H2O2 production through PEA's oxygen reduction catalysis, enabling nitrogen‐dependent H2O2 release. Intradermal delivery of PEA via microneedles promotes efficient H2O2 synthesis, thereby stimulating regrowth in telogen ...

Glutaredoxin GRXS17 associates with the cytosolic iron-sulfur cluster assembly pathway [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Cytosolic monothiol glutaredoxins (GRXs) are required in iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster delivery and iron sensing in yeast and mammals. In plants, it is unclear whether they have similar functions.

Adropin modulates pancreatic cell proliferation and glutathione levels in an animal model of type 1 diabetes mellitus

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Adropin is related to the energy homeostasis‐associated gene. It significantly increased glutathione reductase enzyme levels in the pancreas of experimental diabetic rats. Adropin may reduce the severity of diabetes and its complications. Cell proliferation in the exocrine is reduced after the administration of adropin.
