XCL1 and XCR1 in the immune system

Microbes and Infection, 2012
XCL1, a C class chemokine also known as lymphotactin, is produced by T, NK, and NKT cells during infectious and inflammatory responses, whereas XCR1, the receptor of XCL1, is expressed by a dendritic cell subpopulation. The XCL1-XCR1 axis plays an important role in dendritic-cell-mediated cytotoxic immune response.

Functional expression of the chemokine receptor XCR1 on oral epithelial cells

Journal of Pathology, 2010
AbstractChemokines are chemoattractant cytokines which act on specific receptors and play an important role in leukocyte migration as well as physiological and pathological processes. We investigated the role of the chemokine receptor XCR1 and its ligand lymphotactin (Lptn/XCL1) in the regulation of oral epithelial cell behaviour.

Conservation of a chemokine system, XCR1 and its ligand, XCL1, between human and mice

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2010
Understanding dendritic cell (DC) subset functions should lead to the development of novel types of vaccine. Here we characterized expression of XC chemokine receptor 1 (XCR1) and its ligand, XCL1. Murine XCR1 was the only chemokine receptor selectively expressed in CD8alpha(+) conventional DCs.

Crucial roles of XCR1-expressing dendritic cells and the XCR1-XCL1 chemokine axis in protection against West Nile virus within the CNS

The Journal of Immunology, 2021
Abstract West Nile Virus (WNV) is a leading cause of mosquito-borne neuroinvasive disease in the US. Following infection, WNV can cause neuronal injury and disease. Previous studies have shown that the proper activation of virus-specific T cells results in protection from WNV infection and any associated disease.

Magnetic properties of Co2-xCr1+xAl (x=0,0.4)

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
Co2-xCr1+xAl for x=0 and 0.4 (x=0.4 means 20% of Co atoms of Co2CrAl have been replaced by Cr atoms) have been prepared in tri-arc melting furnace. XRD pattern with Reitveld refinement analysis of both samples indicate Heusler alloy like L21 structure with B2 disorder. It is revealed by Magnetization measurement that both compounds show paramagnetic to
