YAP1 is a Prognostic Biomarker and Correlated with Immune Cell Infiltration in Pancreatic Cancer
Yes-associated protein-1 (YAP1) is an important effector of the Hippo pathway and has crosstalk with other cancer signaling pathways. It induces an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment by activating pathways in several cellular components.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Associations between Dietary Acid Load and Biomarkers of Inflammation and Hyperglycemia in Breast Cancer Survivors. [PDF]
Metabolic acidosis can lead to inflammation, tissue damage, and cancer metastasis. Dietary acid load contributes to metabolic acidosis if endogenous acid-base balance is not properly regulated.

Overexpression of Yes-associated protein confers doxorubicin resistance in hepatocellullar carcinoma
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most aggressive malignancies worldwide and is highly resistant to chemotherapy. Yes-associated protein (YAP) is the downstream effector of the Hippo signaling pathway, which is frequently overexpressed in many types of cancers.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Central role of Yes-associated protein and WW-domain-containing transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif in pancreatic cancer development. [PDF]
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains a deadly disease with no efficacious treatment options. PDAC incidence is projected to increase, which may be caused at least partially by the obesity epidemic.

Adverse prognostic and predictive significance of low DNA-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs) expression in early-stage breast cancers [PDF]
Background: DNA-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs), a serine threonine kinase belonging to the PIKK family (phosphoinositide 3-kinase-like-family of protein kinase), is a critical component of the non-homologous end joining (NHEJ ...

Yes-associated protein regulates endothelial cell contact-mediated expression of angiopoietin-2 [PDF]
Angiogenesis is regulated by the dynamic interaction between endothelial cells (ECs). Hippo-Yes-associated protein (YAP) signalling has emerged as a key pathway that controls organ size and tissue growth by mediating cell contact inhibition. However, the role of YAP in EC has not been defined yet. Here, we show expression of YAP in the developing front

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

AR and YAP crosstalk: impacts on therapeutic strategies in prostate cancer
Prostate cancer ranks as one of the most common types of cancer affecting men worldwide, and its progression is shaped by a diverse array of influencing factors. The AR signaling pathway plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of prostate cancer.
