Icariin promoted the growth of Akk by enhancing the activity of N‐acetylgalactosaminidase (Amuc_0920), which enhanced mucin utilization and provided a favorable nutrient environment for bacterial growth. This icariin‐mediated enrichment of Akk further reshaped the tumor microenvironment and promoted CD8+ T cell infiltration, ultimately synergizing with

Coordinated cell proliferation and ability to form intercellular seals are essential features of epithelial tissue function. Tight junctions (TJs) classically act as paracellular diffusion barriers. More recently, their role in regulating epithelial cell

Understanding the mobile healthcare applications continuance: The regulatory focus perspective
Background: Although mobile healthcare (mHealth) applications have proliferated and offer new opportunities for personal health management, many users exhibit discontinuance behavior. Various factors in mHealth applications can strongly impact users'

This study elucidates that β‐elemene promotes cellular uptake of L. gasseri‐derived lactate by enhancing the membrane translocation of MCT1 in a CD147‐dependent manner. Intracellular lactate, through the lactylation of RBBP4 at the K26 site, recruits EP300 to the promoter regions of downstream genes (POLD1/POLD3), catalyzing H3K27ac modification.

ABSTRACT The E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif 27 (TRIM27) is a negative regulator of NF‐κB activation and the innate immune response, and TRIM27 deficiency significantly impairs dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)‐induced colitis. The function of TRIM27 in intestinal epithelial cells (IECs), the mechanism by which TRIM27 inhibits the NF‐κB pathway and its

Intestinal barrier function is regulated by epithelial tight junctions (TJs), structures that control paracellular permeability. Junctional adhesion molecule-A (JAM-A) is a TJ-associated protein that regulates barrier; however, mechanisms linking JAM-A to epithelial permeability are poorly understood.

Under colitis, Gsdmd mediates the release of IL‐33 from the epithelium of pregnant mice. IL‐33 can cross the placenta and enhance the proliferative capacity of neural stem cells, ultimately resulting in behavioral deficits in the offspring. Excessive pyroptosis in the colonic epithelium also triggers the translocation of LPS, which in turn increases ...
