GbWAKL20 Phosphorylates GbNFYB8 to Modulate Verticillium Wilt Resistance in Cotton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wall‐associated receptor‐like kinases (WAKLs) play pivotal roles in extracellular–intracellular signal transduction. Upon sensing Verticillium dahliae infestation at the plasma membrane, GbWAKL20 accumulates and transmits signals to the nucleus via endoplasmic reticulum‐mediated Golgi vesicle transport.

miR‐185‐5p Derived From hUC‐MSC Exosomes via Suspension Culture Under Hypoxic Conditions Promotes Scarless Wound Healing in Mice by Precisely Regulating Collagen I/III Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
miR‐185‐5p derived from UC‐MSC exosomes via hypoxic suspension culture promotes scarless wound healing in mice by precisely regulating collagen I/III regeneration. Exosomes derived from UC‐MSCs under a three‐dimensional bioreactor and hypoxic conditions were injected into the skin wounds of mice.

Stereochemical course of hydrolytic reaction catalyzed by alpha-galactosidase from cold adaptable marine bacterium of genus Pseudoalteromonas

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2014
The recombinant α-galactosidase of the marine bacterium (α-PsGal) was synthesized with the use of the plasmid 40Gal, consisting of plasmid pET-40b (+) (Novagen) and the gene corresponding to the open reading frame of the mature α-galactosidase of marine ...

Precise Construction of an Antimicrobial Peptide Targeting Bacterial Cell Membranes Derived From Natural Peptides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An AMP (P 3‐3R‐8I) based on natural peptides, which can target bacterial cell membranes, was precisely constructed via amino acid mutation. P 3‐3R‐8I exhibits antibacterial capability which could be attributed to the ability of P 3‐3R‐8I to quickly penetrate bacterial cell membranes and then to bind to bacterial DNA.

Acid α-galactosidase is involved in D-chiro-inositol accumulation during tartary buckwheat germination

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2015
Tartary buckwheat seed and especially its sprouts are rich in D-chiro-inositol (DCI). The research was to evaluate when DCI was most accumulated in tartary buckwheat sprouts. In addition, we explored the activity and expression pattern of α-galactosidase

Correlation between GLA variants and alpha-Galactosidase A profile in dried blood spot: an observational study in Brazilian patients

open access: yesOrphanet Journal of Rare Diseases, 2020
Background Fabry disease is a rare X-linked inherited disorder caused by deficiency of α-Galactosidase A. Hundreds of mutations and non-coding haplotypes in the GLA gene have been described; however, many are variants of unknown significance, prompting ...

Photothermal–Immunomodulatory Hydrogel Reinforced by Ti3C2/ZnAl‐LDH Nanoplatform for Eradicating MRSA and Promoting Diabetic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A NETs‐inspired Ti3C2/LDH hydrogel integrates trapping, ROS boosting, and M2‐immunomodulation for MRSA‐infected wound repair. ABSTRACT MRSA infections give rise to chronic cutaneous and advance into profound tissue invasions, including osteomyelitis and sepsis—conditions for which existing clinical interventions offer only limited efficacy. The utility

Senescent Synovial Intimal Fibroblasts Aggravate Osteoarthritis by Regulating Macrophage Polarization and Chondrocyte Phenotype Through ANGPTL4‐α5β1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Senescent synovial intimal fibroblasts (SIF) are identified as key drivers of osteoarthritis. They promote M1 macrophage polarization and cartilage degeneration via the ANGPTL4–α5β1 axis, regulated by transcription factors EGR1 and ATF3. Pharmacological inhibition of this pathway alleviates disease, revealing SIF senescence as a promising therapeutic ...
