Prospects for Creation of Cardioprotective and Antiarrhythmic Drugs Based on Opioid Receptor Agonists [PDF]
It has now been demonstrated that the μ, δ(1), δ(2), and κ(1) opioid receptor (OR) agonists represent the most promising group of opioids for the creation of drugs enhancing cardiac tolerance to the detrimental effects of ischemia/reperfusion (I/R ...

Antinociceptive and Anti‐inflammatory Effect of Nicandrin B Isolated From Datura ferox in Zebrafish
ABSTRACT Nicandrin B (Nic B), a withanolide isolated from Datura ferox leaves, was investigated for its antinociceptive and anti‐inflammatory effects in adult zebrafish (Danio rerio). Animals treated with Nic B (4, 20, and 40 mg/kg) showed no toxicity and maintained normal locomotor activity.

Long-acting κ opioid antagonists nor-BNI, GNTI and JDTic: pharmacokinetics in mice and lipophilicity [PDF]
Background: Nor-BNI, GNTI and JDTic induce κ opioid antagonism that is delayed by hours and can persist for months. Other effects are transient. It has been proposed that these drugs may be slowly absorbed or distributed, and may dissolve in cell ...

Hydroalcoholic crude extract of Persea cordata showed in its composition, the presence of lignans based on LCESIMS data. This crude extract displayed anti‐oedematogenic and antinociceptive activities in vivo. Abstract This study aimed to establish the chemical profile and evaluate the anti‐oedematogenic and analgesic activities of the hydroalcoholic ...

µ-Opioid receptor antagonism facilitates the anxiolytic-like effect of oxytocin in mice
Mood and anxiety disorders are leading causes of disability worldwide and are major contributors to the global burden of diseases. Neuropeptides, such as oxytocin and opioid peptides, are important for emotion regulation.

The study demonstrated that thidiazine compounds potentiated the action of antibiotics. The compounds associated with norfloxacin against S. aureus showed greater significance in relation to the other medications. The indiscriminate use of antibiotics has led to the selection of resistant bacterial strains, significantly reducing the effectiveness of ...
