Comprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 2, April 2026.Exposure to environmental toxins induces gut dysbiosis, increases intestinal epithelial barrier permeability, immune activation, and oxidative stress, promoting α‐syn misfolding and propagation. Brainstem DMV neurons exhibit α‐syn pathology, dysregulating neuronal excitability and vagal control of GI functions.

Kuwait Atrial Fibrillation Management Analysis—Insights From a Tertiary Center in Kuwait
Journal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 2, April 2026.Among patients with non‐valvular AF, rhythm control (RC) was pursued in 28.9%. RC was pursued for younger patients and those followed in electrophysiology clinics (33% vs. 5%, p < 0.001). 11.6% of patients received an underdosed DOAC. RC was underutilized in our study, falling short of international benchmarks and guideline recommendations.

Journal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 2, April 2026.In a real‐world emergency department study of atrial fibrillation and flutter, cardioversion restored sinus rhythm in 68% of patients. Electrical cardioversion achieved the highest success, while pharmacological and mixed strategies predicted failure. Complications were infrequent but clinically significant.
