Acidogenesis‐Propelled Coordination Transition in Light‐Triggered Fe‐Polyphenol Polymer for Reactive Oxygen Species‐Augmented Antitumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel iron‐polyphenol‐photoacid coordination polymer (FeBPs) is designed to achieve red light‐triggered external acidification and internal coordination regulation, where this light‐controlled acidification induces coordination changes that enhance Fe active site exposure and provide H+ for beneficial Fe3+/Fe2+ conversion, thereby accelerating ROS ...

Insect I‐Type Lysozymes Function as Antiviral Proteases by Forming Biomolecular Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon rice viral infection, the insect vector activates the Toll–MyD88–Dorsal signaling cascade, inducing i‐type lysozyme (Lyz‐I1) expression. Lyz‐I1 functions as an antiviral protease through its conserved catalytic dyad Glu/Asp (E/D), mediating cleavage of viral proteins at specific Lys (K) residues.

Restoring Porosity and Uncovering Flexibility in Pillared 3D‐Linker Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This research explores new design approaches towards robust frameworks which retain structural flexibility and porosity after activation. By incorporating bulky 3D‐linkers as anionic pillars with zinc triazolate sheets, moisture‐stable metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) are synthesized. In situ powder X‐ray diffraction and gas adsorption techniques reveal

Coordination‐Locked Engineering to Achieve Narrowband Room Temperature Phosphorescence in Non‐Rare Earth Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this contribution, the coordination‐locked phosphorescence amplification (CLPA) strategy is developed to successfully construct the first non‐rare‐earth narrowband RTP MOF crystal, Sr–tbc. In addition, Sr–tbc shows potential applications in high‐resolution afterglow display and multilevel information recognition.

Solvated Electron‐Driven Stepwise ORR on Na‐Metalated N‐Rich Carbon Nitride for Efficient Photocatalytic H2O2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A sodium‐metalated, nitrogen‐rich carbon nitride (PH‐C3N5‐Na) is developed to generate solvated electrons (SEs) under visible‐light irradiation via a eutectic NaCl/LiCl molten salt‐assisted method. The in situ generated SEs drive a stepwise oxygen reduction via •O2−. Thus, an exceptional quantum efficiency of 54.4% (420 nm) is achieved.

Computational Study of Ignored Pericyclic Reactions: Rearrangements of 1,2‐Bis(Diazo)Alkanes to 1,2,3,4‐Tetrazines and Subsequent Fragmentations

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
DFT calculations of the 8π‐electrocyclization of 1,2‐bis(diazo)alkanes and of other bis‐1,3‐dipoles reveal that this process can establish a so far ignored route to heterocycles such as 1,2,3,4‐tetrazines. Alternative reaction channels via carbenes or nitrenes leading to fragmentation products are discussed.

Vacuum Thermal Evaporation for OLEDs: Fundamentals, Optimization, and Implications for Perovskite LEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Vacuum thermal evaporation (VTE) is the dominant method for manufacturing high‐performance small‐molecule organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). Its mature application in OLEDs offers valuable guidance for emerging perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs).

Structural Dependence of Catenand Effect: Thermodynamic and Kinetic Modulation of Catenane Coordination Properties via Ring‐size and Exocyclic Substituent Variation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By modifying ring size and exocyclic substituents, effects of ligand interlocking on metal coordination features is explored. Through systematic analysis of CuI catenanes, relationship between structural parameters of the interlocked ligands and coordination properties like geometry, stability, and reactivity is established.
