Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis Presenting With Diabetes Insipidus in a 2 Years Old Child: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This case report highlights that Langerhans cell histiocytosis should be suspected in the differential diagnosis for children who exhibit failure to thrive, diabetes insipidus, and skin lesions. Early recognition and timely management are crucial for preventing irreversible hypothalamic–pituitary damage and improving outcomes.

Effect of Smart Pill Box on Improving Adherence to 6-Mercaptopurine Maintenance Therapy in Pediatric ALL

open access: yesIndian Journal of Medical and Paediatric Oncology
Introduction 6-Mercaptopurine (6-MP) forms the backbone of maintenance chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). A Children's Oncology Group study found 3.9-fold increased risk of relapse in children with 6-MP adherence less than 90%

A Case of Drug‐Induced Pancreatitis

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Drug‐induced pancreatitis (DIP) is a rare but important cause of acute abdominal pain, and ciprofloxacin‐associated cases are exceptionally uncommon. We report a 35‐year‐old woman with no significant medical history who developed severe epigastric pain radiating to the back, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, 3 days after initiating self ...

Introducing the Cis‐2,3‐Bis(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropyl Chemotype: Late‐Stage Installation and Stereoelectronic Properties

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 2, February 2026.
The cis‐2,3‐bis(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropyl chemotype is introduced. The steric demand of this motif is intermediate between that of the heptafluoroisopropyl and prefluorotertbutyl groups; yet, it induces significantly less lipophilicity than these due to its facial polarity.

The frequency of NUDT15 rs116855232 and its impact on mercaptopurine-induced toxicity in Syrian children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
IntroductionPolymorphisms in NUDT15 may result in differences in mercaptopurine-induced toxicity. This study aimed to identify the frequency of the NUDT15 (c.415C>T; rs116855232) polymorphism and investigate the effect of this polymorphism on ...

Cytotoxic profiles of a nanodrug delivery based on 6-mercaptopurine-coated magnetite-peg nanoparticles towards leukemia (WEHI-3B) cell lines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A drug active, 6-mercaptopurine (MP) was coated on the surface of Fe3O4-PEG nanoparticles using co-precipitation method in order to form a new magnetic nanocomposite (FPEGMP).

Physiologically Motivated Sequential Population Modeling of Albumin Trends and Vedolizumab Pharmacokinetics for Pregnancy Dosing Regimen Optimization

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 119, Issue 2, Page 457-469, February 2026.
Physiologically Motivated Sequential Population Modeling of Albumin Trends and Vedolizumab Pharmacokinetics for Pregnancy Dosing Regimen Optimization. The pharmacokinetics (PK) of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) during pregnancy remains poorly characterized, despite active inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) being the greatest risk factor for adverse ...

Simultaneous Analysis of 6-Mercaptopurine, 6-Methylmercaptopurine, and 6-Thioguanosine-5’-monophosphate in Dried Blood Spot Using Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2018
6-Mercaptopurine is a chemotherapeutic agent of the antimetabolite class. This study aims to analyze simultaneous validation of 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP), 6-methylmercaptopurine (6-MMP), and 6-thioguanosine-5’-monophosphate (6-TGMP) in dried blood spot ...

Hemagglutination Induced by Aabinosyl-6-Mercaptopurine.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1966
SummaryArabinosyl-6-mercaptopurine, a nucleoside that prolonged the survival of skin homografts, induced non-specific agglutination of either sheep or human red blood cells. The drug was bound to red blood cell stroma and the number of sites occupied on the stroma was determined as approximately 1.2 × 105 per red blool cell for tanned sheep cells and 6.
