Continuous Imaging of the Cardiac Cycle Metabolism With Hyperpolarized [1‐13C]Pyruvate
We present a continuous hyperpolarized 13C MRI framework for phase‐resolved imaging of myocardial metabolism throughout the entire cardiac cycle. By combining spectral‐spatial bicarbonate excitation with frequency‐shifted reconstruction of residual pyruvate signal, both metabolites are obtained from a single acquisition.

Structure‐based optimization of the triazolo‐triazine scaffold afforded highly potent and selective adenosine A3 receptor antagonists. Replacement of the classical 2‐furyl group with phenyl‐based substituents markedly improved A3 receptor affinity and selectivity.

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

A supramolecular pyroptotic thermal switch encapsulates I3− within β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) and undergoes CaCO3 mineralization. Upon lysosomal acidification, CaCO3 is degraded, releasing Ca2+ and I3−. Concurrently, BODIPY activation converts I3− into I2, inducing oxidative stress and Ca2+ overload, which together trigger caspase‐3/GSDME‐mediated ...

Metabolic Structure: A Paradigm Revisited in Light of the Fundamental Parameters of Living Systems
Metabolism is redefined as a dynamic thermodynamic field shaped by six fundamental parameters (time, water, entropy, quantum effects, space, and electrostatics) rather than fixed genetic architecture. Case studies from enzyme kinetics to cancer cell differentiation show metabolic states, not structure alone, determine flux and control, and can be ...

Brewing Anxiety: Caffeine‐Induced Thigmotaxis in Zebrafish Larvae
ABSTRACT Background Thigmotaxis, or edge preference, is widely used as a measure of anxiety in vertebrate model systems. However, variability in this behavior limits its utility as a scalable measure for anxiolytic drug discovery. In the current study, we examine caffeine‐induced thigmotaxis, using 5‐day‐old zebrafish larvae as a model system.
