Calpain-mediated cleavage negatively regulates the expression level of ABCG1
Atherosclerosis, 2011The ATP-binding cassette transporter ABCG1 mediates cholesterol efflux from macrophages, and prevents the progression of macrophage foam-cell formation. Much less is known about the regulatory mechanism of ABCG1, although its physiological importance is becoming clearer.

Structure and Function Studies of ABCG1
2013ATP-binding cassette transporter G1 (ABCG1) mediates sterol efflux onto lipidated lipoproteins and plays an important role in macrophage cholesterol homeostasis. In this project, we investigated how ABCG1 works as a functional transporter to mediate sterol translocation.
