A network model to investigate structural and electrical properties of proteins

open access: yes, 2007
One of the main trend in to date research and development is the miniaturization of electronic devices. In this perspective, integrated nanodevices based on proteins or biomolecules are attracting a major interest.

Metabolism of Epoxidised Withanolides by a Generalist and a Specialist Insect Species

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
Larvae of Heliothis (Chloridea) virescence and subflexa have the ability to convert the epoxidized terpenoid 4β‐hydroxywithanolide E (4BHWE) to withanolide S. The conversion is found by feeding the larvae an artificial diet supplemented with 13C‐labeled 4BHWE.

Whole‐genome sequencing reveals novel ryanodine receptor mutations P4568L and Y4701D conferring high‐level chlorantraniliprole resistance in Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome sequencing identified novel ryanodine receptor mutations P4568L and Y4701D causing >1000‐fold chlorantraniliprole resistance in Spodoptera litura, enabling development of molecular diagnostics for proactive resistance management. Abstract BACKGROUND Spodoptera litura is a significant insect pest that attacks many agricultural crops ...

Intranasal diamorphine population pharmacokinetics modeling and simulation in pediatric breakthrough pain

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 435-447, March 2025.
Abstract Intranasal diamorphine (IND), approved for managing breakthrough pain in the UK, has been identified as an acceptable alternative offering effective, expedient, and less traumatic analgesia for children. However, the current dose regimen in pediatric populations relies on clinical expertise while the pharmacokinetics properties are poorly ...

Nipocalimab Dose Selection in Generalized Myasthenia Gravis

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Model‐Informed Nipocalimab Dose Selection for Generalized Myasthenia Gravis. ABSTRACT Nipocalimab is a fully human immunoglobulin G (IgG)1 monoclonal antibody (mAb) designed to selectively block the IgG binding site of neonatal fragment crystallizable receptor (FcRn) to inhibit IgG recycling and decrease circulating IgG, including pathogenic IgG ...

Two Fluorescent Probes for Recognition of Acetylcholinesterase: Design, Synthesis, and Comparative Evaluation

open access: yesMolecules
In this study, two “on–off” probes (BF2-cur-Ben and BF2-cur-But) recognizing acetylcholinesterase (AChE) were designed and synthesized. The obtained probes can achieve recognition of AChE with good selectivity and pH-independence with a linear range of 0.

3D Bioprinted Engineered Living Microreactors for Continuous Organophosphorus Compound Degradation

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
3D bioprinted engineered living microreactors offer a novel solution for continuous organophosphorus compound (OPC) degradation. This work details the fabrication and characterization of porous microbial ELM bioreactors containing genetically engineered Escherichia coli for cyclic OPC detoxification.
