Can Zeolite-Supporting Acridines Boost Their Anticancer Performance? [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials, 2023
Acridine and its derivatives (9-chloroacridine and 9-aminoacridine) are investigated here, supported on FAU type zeolite Y, as a delivery system of anticancer agents. FTIR/Raman spectroscopy and electron microscopy revealed successful drug loading on the

New Boron Containing Acridines: Synthesis and Preliminary Biological Study [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
The synthesis of the first conjugates of acridine with cobalt bis(dicarbollide) are reported. A novel 9-azido derivative of acridine was prepared through the reaction of 9-methoxyacridine with N3CH2CH2NH2, and its solid-state molecular structure was ...

Synthesis of N-acyl carbazoles, phenoxazines and acridines from cyclic diaryliodonium salts [PDF]

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
N-Acyl carbazoles can be efficiently produced through a single-step process using amides and cyclic diaryliodonium triflates. This convenient reaction is facilitated by copper iodide in p-xylene, using the commonly found activating ligand diglyme.

STRUCTURE-ACTIVITY INVESTIGATION OF ATYPICAL ACRIDINE DERIVATIVES AS ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS

open access: yesZagazig Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1994
Although acridines and many tricyclic compounds are known to possess potent antimicrobial activity, yet most of these compounds are either toxic (cannot be used systemically) or have other pharmacological activities. To develop safe and effective agents,

Acridine form IX [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Crystallographic Communications, 2019
We report a new polymorph of acridine, C13H9N, denoted form IX, obtained as thin needles by slow evaporation of a toluene solution. The structure was solved and refined from powder X-ray data. The structures of five unsolvated forms were previously known, but this is only the second with one molecule in the asymmetric unit.
