Bimetallic Peroxide Nanocomposites‐Driven Redox Dyshomeostasis to Activate Sequential Cuproptosis and Pyroptosis for Amplified Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyaluronic acid‐modified bimetallic peroxide nanocomposites (MgO2‐CuO2@HA) are designed for synergistic tumor therapy. The nanocomposites release Mg2+, H2O2, and Cu2+ in tumor cells, induce cuproptosis via Cu+‐mediated protein aggregation, and activate pyroptosis through caspase‐1/gasdermin D pathways for inducing immunogenic cell death, collectively ...

Structure–Activity Relationship Studies of 9-Alkylamino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridines against Leishmania (Leishmania) infantum Promastigotes

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2023
Leishmaniasis is one of the most neglected diseases in modern times, mainly affecting people from developing countries of the tropics, subtropics and the Mediterranean basin, with approximately 350 million people considered at risk of developing this ...

Optical spectrum of proflavine and its ions

open access: yes, 2010
Motivated by possible astrophysical and biological applications we calculate visible and near UV spectral lines of proflavine (C13H11N3, 3,6-diaminoacridine) in vacuum, as well as its anion, cation, and dication.

Disulfide‐Bridged Ru Complex–Mediated Photo‐Disulfidptosis for Colorectal Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, a binuclear ruthenium complex, RuSSRu was developed for efficient colorectal cancer (CRC) treatment. The synergistic interaction between disulfidptosis and lysosomal damage‐induced apoptosis induced by RuSSRu amplified tumor cell death. This innovative approach offers a potent therapeutic strategy for CRC.

Diabetes Mellitus Facilitates Gallstone Formation Through CXCR2‐NETs–Mediated Liver‐Bile Barrier Damage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Diabetes is an independent risk factor for gallstones. It upregulates CXCR2 expression in hepatic neutrophils, stimulating the formation of NETs that disrupt hepatocellular tight junctions and the liver‐bile barrier. NETs enter bile to accelerate gallstone development, while sarcosine inhibits CXCR2 and NETs production, effectively reducing diabetes ...

High‐Efficiency TADF Dendritic Emitters Enabled by Synchronously Inhibiting Degenerated Triplet Excited States and Structural Relaxation Toward Solution‐Processed OLEDs with EQE Over 33%

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Asymmetrical thermally activated delated fluorescence dendritic emitters are delicately constructed through symmetry breaking strategy, and near‐unity photoluminescence efficiency and excellent reverse intersystem crossing process are achieved via breaking the degeneracy of vibrational levels and boosting the spin flip of triplet excitons.

A facile and efficient synthesis of 1,8-dioxodecahydroacridines derivatives catalyzed by cobalt–alanine metal complex under aqueous ethanol media

open access: yesBMC Chemistry, 2019
A facile and convenient method for the synthesis of acridines and its derivatives was developed through one-pot, three-component condensation reaction of aromatic aldehydes, 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione, aryl amines or ammonium acetates in the ...

A study of the feculae of Orthoptera, their specificity, and the role which the insects'mouthparts, alimentary canal, and food-habits play in their formation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1962
2 láminasMany physiological studies have been carried out on different aspects of the feculae ("feces") and their formation in Orthoptera (sens. lat.).

Aggregation‐Induced Resonance Energy Transfer in Polymer Dots to Boost Electrochemiluminescence Performance for Bioimaging of Glycan on Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study pioneers an aggregation‐induced resonance energy transfer mechanism by synergistically integrating aggregation‐induced emission (AIE), resonance energy transfer (RET), and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) within co‐reactant conjugated polymers to develop self‐enhanced ECL emitters, which achieves an ECL efficiency up to 92.6 ...

The interactions of monomeric acridines and unsymmetrical bisacridines (UAs) with DNA duplexes: an insight provided by NMR and MD studies

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Members of a novel class of anticancer compounds, exhibiting high antitumor activity, i.e. the unsymmetrical bisacridines (UAs), consist of two heteroaromatic ring systems.
