Design and Verification of a Digital Controller for a 2-Piece Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscope

open access: yesSensors, 2016
A Hemispherical Resonator Gyro (HRG) is the Coriolis Vibratory Gyro (CVG) that measures rotation angle or angular velocity using Coriolis force acting the vibrating mass.

A–102-dBm Sensitivity Multichannel Heterodyne Wake-Up Receiver With Integrated ADPLL

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Solid-State Circuits Society
This article presents a binary frequency-shift keying (BFSK) heterodyne wake-up receiver (WuRx) with -102-dBm sensitivity at 2.4 GHz. An integrated low-power all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL) allows sharp filtering at the intermediate frequency (IF ...

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

An Low-Jitter All-Digital Phased-Locked Loop Using a Suppresive Digital Loop Filter

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]In this paper we present a low-jitter and wide-range all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL). The digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) is able to operate from 53 to 560 MHz with 5.1 ps resolution.

Aluminum‐Substituted Yttrium Iron Garnet Films With Perpendicular Anisotropy Grown on Silicon by Sputtering

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin Al‐substituted YIG films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are sputter‐grown directly on Si/SiOx using an ultrathin AlOx buffer layer. Al diffusion reduces the saturation magnetization and stabilizes PMA via magnetoelastic effects. Pt/Al:YIG bilayers exhibit strong spin Hall magnetoresistance and efficient spin–orbit torque switching ...

Matching the Coupling of Valence Electrons in the Oxide Interface to Perturb the Magnetic Order Enhancing Oxygen Reduction in Zinc–Air Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Sub‐5 nm Fe2O3/Sm2O3 heterojunction nanoparticles are anchored on nitrogen‐doped carbon nanofibers, featuring coupled Fe(3d)‐O(2p)‐Sm(4f) orbitals at the interface. The resulting super‐exchange induces antiparallel magnetic ordering at heterointerfaces, suppressing spin‐dependent interaction between surface OH* species and Fe sites to facilitate OH ...
