Markers Predicting Cure With Combinatorial Treatment in a Mouse Model of Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study explores a combinatorial treatment (CT) of GABA, sitagliptin, and omeprazole in a latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) mouse model. ∼30% of CT‐treated mice fully recovered, showing normoglycemia and insulin independence. Cell‐free RNA biomarkers Adgrb1 and Chd5 identify CT responders, aiding personalized treatment.
