2023Alphaviruses have frequently been engineered for cancer therapy, cancer immunotherapy, and cancer vaccine development. As members of self-replicating RNA viruses, alphaviruses provide high levels of transgene expression through efficient self-amplifying of their RNA genome in host cells.
