Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Triose phosphate isomerase from the coelacanth. An approach to the rapid determination of an amino acid sequence with small amounts of material [PDF]
The preparation and purification of cyanogen bromide fragments from [14C]carboxymethylated coelacanth triose phosphate isomerase is presented. The automated sequencing of these fragments, the lysine-blocked tryptic peptides derived from them, and also of the intact protein, is described.

An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

s-cyclophilin is retained intracellularly via a unique COOH-terminal sequence and colocalizes with the calcium storage protein calreticulin [PDF]
Cyclophilins (cyclosporin A-binding proteins) are conserved, ubiquitous, and abundant proteins that accelerate the isomerization of XaaPro peptide bonds and the refolding of proteins in vitro.

Enzyme Architecture: Amino Acid Side-Chains That Function To Optimize the Basicity of the Active Site Glutamate of Triosephosphate Isomerase [PDF]
We report pH rate profiles for kcat and Km for the isomerization reaction of glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate catalyzed by wildtype triosephosphate isomerase (TIM) from three organisms and by ten mutants of TIM; and, for Ki for inhibition of this reaction by phosphoglycolate trianion (I3-).

AS‐pHopt: An Optimal pH Prediction Model Enhanced by Active Site of Enzymes
To address the low accuracy of enzyme optimal pH (pHopt) prediction, this study develops active site‐based pHopt (AS‐pHopt), a prediction model enhanced by active site information and pseudo‐label prediction. Integrating key structural and physicochemical features affecting enzyme pHopt, AS‐pHopt uses Evolutionary Scale Modeling (ESM)‐2 with active ...

The enzyme families of protein disulphide isomerases (PDI) and cyclophilins catalyse the isomerisation of disulphide bonds and the rotation of Xaa-Pro peptide bonds in nascent proteins, respectively, making them excellent candidates for regulating the ...

Plant Triose Phosphate Isomerase Isozymes [PDF]
We report the first complete purifications of the cytosolic and plastid isozymes of triose phosphate isomerase (TPI; EC 5.3.1.1) from higher plants including spinach (Spinacia oleracea), lettuce (Lactuca sativa), and celery (Apium graveolens). Both isozymes are composed of two isosubunits with approximate molecular weight of 27,000; in spinach and ...
